Elegant calligraphy styling for Lydia & John’s Broadoaks Country House wedding

This lovely couple contacted me months before their wedding to order on-the-day stationery for their reception at Broadoaks, one of my favourite Lake District wedding venues.

Lydia and John’s colour palette was pale blush. They chose soft grey ink and luxury papers with stunning silk ribbons, and a set of my bespoke calligraphy wedding vow books to go with the table names and slimline elegant place name settings. These gorgeous photos are by lovely Becky and Dean at Winter Bennett Weddings.

Elegant calligraphy wedding table names from By Moon and Tide

The blush looks gorgeous with a backdrop of summer florals by Aimee in Dalton @flowersbyaimee77. Table names were all fantasy lands or locations from books and films: Neverland, Hyrule, and Hogwarts will stay with me! I love this idea!

Wedding vow booklets with calligraphy made in the UK by Claire Gould

I created two vow booklets with Wife/Husband in elegant calligraphy on the covers. These are crafted from luxe art papers, made sustainably in the UK, and can be completely personalised. Every word is written by hand, and insert sheets are left blank for you to write on. Silk ribbons in a luxury width complete the look and are lovely and tactile – they’re by Silk & Purl.

I supplied the wedding place names with punched holes so Lydia and John could attach their own ribbons. There are some lovely frayed edge chiffon ribbons available on the high street, as a more affordable alternative to hand dyed silk ribbons. The frayed edges are a beautiful touch, adding softness to the place name cards, which were placed on lottery tickets for every guest.
