Busy pens and a summer full of wedding calligraphy!

Phew! Let me just pop my pen down for a moment, stretch my claw-like calligrapher’s fingers and breathe! It’s been a crazy busy summer full of wedding place names, and I’m so happy to be back writing lots of calligraphy! I haven’t posted on instagram much because my priority is to get all of your lovely orders out of the door.

Top sellers have been my olive green place names – mostly on the olive green card, but yesterday I had a lovely order with olive green ink on white place names. On my desk right now are Rachel’s gorgeous rust coloured wedding place cards. In my Etsy order queue, another bunch of gorgeous green ones.

I only launched these new slimline place names this spring, but they’ve been so popular. Thank you to every sustainably-minded couple for choosing these over acrylic and all the other non-recyclable options out there. Tiny steps, I know – but it feels good to me to stick to a less wasteful placecard style.

I’ll be even quieter over the next week as I have a whopper of a family tree to write (10 generations I think) – but do keep ordering place names and wedding readings, as they really do brighten up my days!
