Planning a wedding means you’ll be buying so many things you haven’t come across before: what sizes are garters, what should you ask a photographer and when should you book a wedding calligrapher are bound to be very new questions in your mind! I don’t know about the garters, but I can certainly help answer any calligraphy questions you might have, especially the all-important when to order wedding calligraphy.
Believe it or not, calligraphy is very popular for weddings in the UK and around the world, and as there are few calligraphers running full time calligraphy services for weddings, you will need to book nice and early.
Wedding calligraphy: How early should you book?
If your wedding will be this summer, you should contact a calligrapher now. Don’t leave it too late! Calligraphers’ styles and skill levels vary, and to make sure you get your preferred wedding calligrapher you should book a few months before your wedding date.
Order wedding place card calligraphy now
The most popular service is wedding place card calligraphy. I’m commissioned to write thousands of wedding place cards every year, and summer is the best time for them. It’s a lovely touch to have at your wedding reception, and your guests will all be slipping their personalised place cards into handbags, I promise!
A handwritten calligraphy place card is a special touch to share with your wedding guests. It’s a lovely gesture, thoughtful and of course will add a little more pretty to your wedding tables!
Having your wedding place cards handwritten won’t cost a fortune either. My own prices start from just £1.25 per card for handwritten calligraphy on your own place cards. See the wedding calligraphy prices page for more information.
