Gold leaf wedding calligraphy

I’ve been working with a lot of gold leaf on my wedding calligraphy orders recently. Having just finished an order for Pure Gold Calligraphy I’ve finally ungilded my hair and face (it gets messy!) and thought it would be nice to show you some gold leaf work in progress.

Ruby wedding calligraphy

These were individual calligraphy place settings, written not for a wedding reception but for a ruby wedding anniversary dinner. My parents celebrated forty years together in December, and my Grandma, along with me and my sister, organised a celebration for them. Nothing but the very best for my Mum and Dad!

Wedding calligraphy – ideas and examples

Read my blog for more ideas for your wedding calligraphy. Pure gold leaf is our most luxurious calligraphy service (inspired by the royal wedding!) but we specialise in calligraphy for weddings.

Choose wedding place settings in black ink, in our romantic calligraphy scripts. We make luggage tags with ribbon, traditional folded place cards or flat cards for holders.

We also have rustic, hand-torn khadi paper place cards which are perfect for DIY weddings or eco-friendly wedding themes.

I’m always happy to take calligraphy commissions for other special occasions: most of my work is for weddings, but I also write paper wedding anniversary poems and calligraphy place settings for special celebrations. Please contact me with your enquiry and I’ll be very happy to help.

Grrrrr…. yes, thank you Claire for this! Today I am covered in silver leaf! I recently baulked at the idea of using this technique on Wedding invites – I’m a wimp – but don’t mind doing the place cards.
Congrats to your Mum and Dad!
